How do I make an appointment with you?

Will you be my primary care physician?
Although we have extensive training and experience in Western medicine and have been primary care providers in the past, our unique gifts reside in working with the interfaces among mind, body and spirit.
In order to have sufficient time to work with you on these levels, we have decided to serve as your holistic consultants and strongly recommend that you maintain a relationship with your primary care physician.
We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with both you and your primary care doctor, and we find that doctors often appreciate the feedback about their patient's health.
How should I handle an urgent care type of health problem or an emergency?
In our role as holistic health consultants and with our unique methods of working with you, our practice is not set up to handle emergencies or urgent care types of issues. When you have an appointment with us, you have our undivided attention, and we are careful not to let anything else interfere with that time. We also travel throughout the country for talks, presentations, and retreats, and so there may be a lag time before messages are answered. If it is a true emergency, please call 911 immediately. Otherwise, a call to your primary care physician would be the next step in taking care of the problem as quickly as possible.
Can you cure my illness?
We believe that everyone is capable of healing and that these abilities are largely untapped. Nobody, however, can make claims to cure anyone's illness. Healing comes in many forms, not only physical, but emotional and spiritual as well. Each is important and each influences the other.
Our purpose in bringing together Western, alternative and Mind Body Spirit approaches is to find the best in each realm for helping you on your healing path.
How do you approach different faiths & spiritual belief systems?
We strongly adhere to the idea that there are 'a thousand
paths to the sun'. We have no hidden spiritual agenda to espouse
and we respect and cherish all traditions. We view spirituality as an
exploration of your perceived place in the world, what you believe your
life is all about and what connections you have with your family, your
community, your environment, and your world. We do feel it is important
to explore your spiritual belief system as this can have a significant
impact on your health. The approaches we teach are useful regardless
of your spiritual orientation.
Do you accept insurance?
The simple answer is Yes! Contact our Institute for Health & Healing office to see if your own insurance company offers coverage.
What do you charge?
We now offer health and wellness assistance to people of every means. We are dedicated to bringing holistic health information to whomever wants to explore it. Contact our office for help with this issue.
Feel free to see us for a private consultation or invite us to speak at your next conference. Reach in and explore the healing methods that fit best for you.
Do you accept credit cards?
The Institute for Health & Healing does accept credit cards.
Do you work by telephone?
Yes, we can work with you by telephone but please be aware that insurance does not generally cover phone consults. We are available to offer holistic medical information and emotional sustenance with your health concerns in person or over the phone. We do want to meet you in person for our first one or two visits and see you in person at least once a year as long as we are working with you. If we have not met you in person, then our assistance will not extend to prescribing medication. However, much can happen simply from the gathering of information and telling your story, and we are here for both. We can give you expert holistic medical guidance so that you can get started on the healing you have been longing for.
What did the Synchronicity Center look like?
The
pictures you have been appreciating on this website are almost all of
the Synchronicity
Center. It was a beautiful place and we loved both creating it and do our work there when we lived in Arizona. With just one or two exceptions,
all of these pictures are the artistry of our oldest daughter, Katelyn.
